glettler: SE empirische Methoden

surprisingly this course became my highlight ;)

basically the input she had prepared for this course is not a big help for me in writing my thesis, now and than i got nice ideas and had the feeling i could come back to this .... and i was really disappointed in the beginning... so a bad start, and as if this wasn't enough... we got a super stupid homework (she is an older lady and gave a lot of different homeworks and than forgot about it and so on). so this was based on a text called "good wife's guide" - she got a german translation from an exhibition. i have seen this stupid text before, it discribes how to be a perfect wife in the 50ies in the US. all the advices are just ridicoulus and i didn't want to take it serious.... so i did research and found out - it is a bug!!!.....how cool is that!!! first i wary about writing about my findings, but than it just hit me and i was writing a whole paper at once about it - i was really nervous while writing, because it was so good ;)
a tough argumentation of the articels validity and historical and cultural relations at this time.
after a week she handed the paper back to me - and like all other papers we've been discussing it infront of class. and she gave just a perfect feedback and i never got something like this before - not at university of graz... she used the word "kapazunder" something like a luminary and i guess i was blushing right away... but i was extremely happy and screaming and dancing inside - it was the perfect timing - as i had exhausting days at university and got depressed of the study situation in graz.... and than she was talking about it for 15min and was just so raptured by my writing ... so nice!!!
so now she knows my name and thinks i am a really good student - which i am not actually ;)
and than i had to do an presentation about acadamic reading - i prepared a keynote presentation, but the beamer in the class-room was not working .... shit... so i was only talking.... but my content was really good and i shed some light on software applications you could use for working with books and archiving resources .... and i will have to talk about this next time again - hopefully this shit beamer is working that time....

so i learned again..... just be yourselfe and tell the people your interests - you can only win!!!
and it is just such an immediate response to "yourselfe" and you will get stronger!!!

on the other hand i detected also a more positive attitude on part of the students.... of course this is mutual process ... while i am feeling better in the group .... the group is reacting more positive etc....

my university projects are tipped for success - and i hope it will continue like this ;)
